FAQs
FAQs
- What to prepare before your session.
We suggest babies have a nap before their appointment, so they can fully enjoy their session in the water. Although please don't worry if they haven't slept, the hydrotherapy float might help them nod off.
NB: please do not put any creams/oils or moisturisers on your baby before their session as this disrupts the purified water. - Should I feed my baby before the session?
We advise it's best for your baby to have a feed at least 30 minutes prior to their appointment, so they're not hungry when they enter the water, however the float and massage sessions can make them thirsty/hungry, so feeding is encouraged on site. - What to bring to the session?
We provide; reusable swim nappies and towels, BPA free float rings, natural oils if a massage is booked and of course tea and coffee for the adults.
Please bring anything that you would usually take with you; nappies, wipes, milk, formula. Sometimes little ones like to be kept warm after their spa session, so a blanket is advisable.
NB: parents you may get a little wet during the session, please wear clothes that you're comfortable with getting a little damp. - What can I expect from a session?
After undressing your baby, we'll assist with placing the float on them and help you place them into the water. Your baby will usually be in the water for up to 20 minutes, however, with regular attendance, babies enjoy the familiarity and can sustain longer. If you've booked an infant massage, one of the team will guide you through the IAIM massage strokes after the float session has finished. - What happens if my baby is unsettled?
If your baby becomes unsettled or does not wish to go into the water, we will not force the situation and the session will be cut short. Unfortunately, we cannot issue a refund, however, if this is the case we will offer you 10% off your next booking.
If you have booked a massage for your baby after their float but they're asleep or unsettled, we will send you home with a sample oil and a list of beneficial IAIM strokes to practice at home, as well as 10% off your next booking. - What if my baby is ill before their session?
Everyone attending; parents and babies must be well and free from illness before accessing the spa. See our cancellation policy for T&Cs. Please do not attend if you or your baby has had a gastric bug within 48 hours.
It is also worth noting that babies who have received vaccinations within 48 hours cannot access the spa. - How old can my baby be to access the spa?
We advise that your baby's belly button cord must be fully healed before attending, which is why we set a minimum 2 weeks age limit to access the spa. - Is there a maximum age for babies?
We advise that our spas can support babies up to 16 months. From 8 months babies can sit in a seated float. - What age do you offer infant massage?
We advise infant massage for babies from 8 weeks. This is because newborn babies tend to tire quickly after a hydrotherapy session. After 8 weeks you're welcome to book a hydrotherapy float and infant massage. We also suggest that once babies start crawling, not to book infant massage as little ones will tend to crawl away from the massage. - What about hygiene?
Our spas are filled with purified, chlorine-free water and heated to 35-37C. Instead of using chlorine, the spas are equipped with an ozone filter that prevents bacteria from growing. The water is changed regularly throughout the day. The baths are wiped down at the end of each day with a neutral antibacterial solution and our swim nappies and towels are washed in an allergen friendly detergent. - Can we bring extra visitors?
We can only allow up to 2 adults per baby, as we don't have the space to support more. - Can siblings come?
We understand how important it is for older siblings to feel included. Please contact the spa directly for specific time slots. Unfortunately we don't have the capacity to allow older siblings into all the sessions. - Can I take photos/videos?
Yes, please do take photos. We encourage you to take lots and share them online, please do tag us!
NB: only take photos of your little ones, as other families accessing the spa may not want their photos taken. - How do you pay?
Bookings are made through a third party booking service, Fresha. Payments are made in advance through the booking platform. You can also purchase gift vouchers through Fresha and collect the vouchers in person. - What's your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel your appointment, we require 48 hours notice via; email, whatsapp or telephone. If you cancel within 48 hours, then you can move your appointment free of charge to an alternative date/time that works. The new appointment date will need to be within 3 months of the initial booking, providing the baby's age allows.
